Prohibited Items by Imports-Nepal: Keeping Your Purchases Safe and Compliant
ImportsNepal doesn't send or receive items that could be offensive, prohibited, hazardous, or dangerous, like fire extinguishers, chemicals, plants, seeds, animal parts, weapons, ammunition, weapon parts/accessories, counterfeit items, or anything else a Logistics partner or Government rules and regulations doesn't allow while importing from India, China, and USA. Please note that if items are shipped via air, we follow much more stringent restrictions than items that ship via ground or sea.
Imports Nepal prohibits certain types of goods and Services. The company may investigate, take action, and report to authorities if it suspects illegal activity. Customers must ensure that items comply with all relevant laws and regulations.
The following are examples of the type of merchandise or services prohibited by Imports Nepal. The list is not exhaustive, and the company reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including returning merchandise, suspending or terminating an account, and reporting the matter to law enforcement authorities.
- All items are subject to Import/Export Control by the respective country.
- All items subjected to Import restrictions by transit or destination countries
- Alcoholic beverages
- Drugs: prescription and non-prescription
- Lighters containing fuel
- Cryptocurrency mining and trading tools
- lottery tickets, slot machines, and gambling industry related products.
- Milk, meat, perishable and animal-based food products
- Products made from precious metals such as silver, gold and platinum
- Unidentified or improperly/insufficiently marked powders, liquids, fluids, or substances
- Products with batteries
- firearms, explosives, weapons including any gun parts or accessories, etc.
- Currency, Cash, Traveler's checks
- Imitation Jewelry without an appraiser certificate
- Electronics that require Export licenses like Radars, Sonars, Telecom equipment, etc.
- Asbestos, dry ice, magnetized material
- Hazardous or combustible materials (as defined in IATA Regulations)
- Flammable liquids/solids, Oxidizing substances
- Toxic/infectious substances, including Rat Poisons, Pesticides, etc.
- Radioactive material
